After she had finished breastfeeding, this 37-year-old mother wanted her breasts to look perkier and she wanted her areolas (the skin around the nipple) to be smaller and even. After some thought, she began looking for a Los Angeles plastic surgeon who specialized in breast procedures.

When she met with her surgeon at Marina Plastic Surgery Associates, she explained what her concerns were and how she wanted her breasts to look. To best address these concerns, her surgeon recommended that she have a breast lift with a Laser Bra, a newer method of breast lift developed by Dr. Grant Stevens of Marina Plastic Surgery Associates. With the Laser Bra, the plastic surgeon created an internal bra out of the patient’s own skin. Usually, there is a section of skin that is discarded during a standard breast lift procedure, but this patch of skin was utilized with the Laser Bra; first it was treated with a CO2 laser and then it was sutured to the chest wall to support the breast tissue after surgery.

For this patient, her surgeon moved the tissue hanging below the breast to a higher and more youthful position and then created the internal bra. To finish the procedure, her surgeon also reshaped her areolas so that they were more ideally sized.

After her surgery, she was very pleased that her breasts were full and perky and that her areolas were symmetrical and round. She was very glad she had seen her surgeon for her Los Angeles breast lift.
